The most important and popular factor of good luck agreed upon by nearly all poker players is the color red or carrying anything of that color with them, while playing the color red.

Being well dressed is the second most common notion with the poker players when they are going in for gambling.

Sitting or standing cross legged while playing will “cross out your luck”. This is also a regular notion with the poker players.

It is also mostly believed that a player should never let any other poker player place their foot on his chair. Also believed is that if a player wants to bring another player bad luck, he should place his foot on their chair.

Almost all poker players blow on their cards when no one is looking, for good luck.

If, while playing, you are dealt the four of clubs, discard it right away unless it is extremely required for your game, as it is a widespread notion that if this card is dealt to you in the first hand, you should leave the game as it signifies bad luck.

Also known is a notion that every player should wait until all the cards have been dealt and then pick up his. Furthermore, the cards should be picked up with right hand.
