There are a lot of myths related to Slot Machines, and most of them are common enough with players, so much so, that some of them actually believe in them, rather than naming them as myths. What are these famous myths? Let us see…

Myth: Machines can be flipped tight or loose by the Casino.

This is not true because the Gaming Control Board does not permit the casinos to do any changes in the slot machines. Changes in the slot machines can be done only by a Slot Machine manufacturer.

Myth: Jackpot hit by someone on the same machine you just left, could have been yours!

This is untrue as Slot machines are always in motion, choosing different combinations every time, even when it’s idle and not being played on as there is a Random Number Generator (RNG) programmed in the slot machine. So, don’t stick to the slot machine thinking that the person playing next to you may win, and there is definitely no need to blame yourself, if, by chance, someone hits a jackpot right after you left that seat.

Myth: More payouts are there for superior denomination slots.

You may have a higher hit frequency depending upon how higher your denominations are, but it’s all relative to your investment from your gambling bankroll. Payout schedules are mostly preprogrammed in all machines. Nickel machines have higher maintenance costs therefore they have fewer payouts.

Myth: Using a casino club card pays you more.

It’s better if you use a casino club card as it accounts to lots of free benefits for you, but other than that, there is no other reason why you should use a casino club card. Random Number Generator (RNG) does not know what a Club card is. RNG is just concerned with money, whether it is cash or by card and keeps rolling those symbol combinations.

Myth: For enhanced payoffs, players should shift to higher denomination machines.

This misconception could prove costly for many players, as by moving to higher denomination machines, they are also increasing their chances of losing a bigger amount of their money.
