How to play Roulette

Roulette is fairly a very simple game to understand. To understand Roulette, one should know each kind of bets and how to place them. Roulette is nothing but a simple guessing game. In roulette a small white ball spin around a big spinning wheel, until the ball stops in one of the number. The main goal of a player is to guess and place wager on a number, which will be the result of the ball spun around the wheel.

Player can bet on any individual number or on group of numbers. In roulette player can bet on any combination of numbers. Player can wager that it will be odd or even, or the ball will fall in either of 1 or 2 or 3 columns, or in either of the dozen (1,2 or 3).

Though there are various different types of bets to be made on Roulette wheel, these are divided into two groups. That is inside bets and outside bets.

Inside bets are those bets, which are made on any single number or combination of numbers ranging from 0 to 36 inside the numbered grid or layout. These are also known as layout bets. And outside the numbered grid lies various betting options, these are referred to as outside bets.

The difference between inside and outside bets is that on inside bets the total of all individual bets must add up to at least the table minimum. This means if a minimum bet is $10 for that table and player want to wager on individual number then he/she can bet $1 on each of 10 numbers or $ 10 on single number, or on any combination, but the inside bets must cumulate to at least $10 minimum.

Whereas on outside bets, each bets equals the table minimum. Values of bets cannot be combined in this case. It means that if player wants to bet for even and reds, then he/she has to place $10 on each bet at a $10 minimum table. Outside bets include even money bets and 2 to 1 bets.

In land-based Roulette you can place your bets anywhere on the layout, up until the time the dealer spin the ball, and after a moment or two wave his hand and say, “No more bets.” The player then stand back, and pray that the ball dribbles right into one of his heavily favored number.

But with online Roulette, player can play without paying attention to the dealer to know if he can bet or not.
